WCP follows the Union County Public School calendar for holidays. We start our preschool year after Labor Day and finish in the third week of May. Children attend from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m, Monday through Thursday.  Children may attend 2,3, or 4 days per week - please see class offerings by age listed below.

2012-2013 School year dates will be published as soon as possible. Union County school calendars are not yet firm due to changes in The number of state required attendance days. The first day of school for the 2012-2013 year will be September 4th.

All classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

2 year olds

• 2 days/week (Monday & Wednesday) - $180.00/mo
• 2 days/week (Tuesday & Thursday) - $185.00/mo
• Supply Fee - $23 due 5-1
• Ratio♥10 children : 2 Staff (1 teacher and 1 teacher assistant)

3 year olds

• 2 days/week (Mon & Wed) Teacher & Assistant - $190.00/mo
• 3 days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) - $215.00/mo
• 3 days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) - $220.00/mo
• 4 days/week (Monday - Thursday) - $245.00/mo
• Supply Fee - $28 due 5-1
• ♥10 children : 1 teacher + floating assistants 

4 year olds

• 3 days/week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) - $225.00/mo
• 4 days/week (Monday - Thursday) - $250.00/mo
• Supply Fee - $40 due 5-1
• ♥10 children : 1 teacher + floating assistants

Transitional Kindergarten

• 4 days/week (Mon. through Thurs.) - $260.00/mo
• TK requirements: 5 years old by 08/31/11 and/or completion of a 4 year old preschool program.  Exceptions may be considered for the child whose track has been established under other state guidelines and has completed a 4 year old preschool program but turns 5 prior to Sept. 30th. Please contact the WCP Office for more information.
• Supply Fee - $70 due 5-1
• ♥14 students: 1 teacher and 1 classroom assistant

Non refundable Registration Fee: $110.00 first child/$90.00 second (or third) child.

Supply fees:  Will be collected on a one time basis according to age level & cover markers, crayons, paints, field trips, as well as other consumable items.  The supply fee is due on May 1, 2012.

Prepayment of the May 2012 tuition and supply fee is due on May 1st, 2012.

Getting here and home again

Car rider drop off and pick up lines are available to bring children into and out of our building each day. The lines generally start up in the third week of September after children have settled into their new classrooms andparents and teachers have gotten familiar with each other. Morning drop off will run from 8:50 a.m. to 9:05 a.m. and afternoon pick up from 12:50 p.m. to 1:05 p.m. Late or early arrivers should plan to park, sign in, and walk to children's classes, entering at the Education Wing doors nearest the playground.

Registration

Registration is held in January for the following school year. Please visit the Registration page for more information on how to register your child for Weddington Christian Preschool. Tours are offered throughout the preschool year.  Please see the Registration and Tours page for tour dates and times. Wait lists are kept by age level and are created after registration. A Wait List will stay in effect until registration for the following school year is completed. As a general rule, only 4 and 5 year old classroom openings will be filled after February 1st.

We firmly believe that each child is a unique creation of our Father God, deserving of respect and love. We provide an environment that allows chldren to discover the lessons Jesus taught through prayer, instruction, and play each day. We also endeavor to maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will minister not only to the children but also to you, the caregiver, and our very precious WCP staff members. 2012-2013 Openings and Wait List Information

Please contact the WCP Office for information on the 2011-12 school year.

WCP opened Wait Lists for the 2012-2013 school year for age levels that filled during our January registration.   You are invited to add your child's name by calling the preschool office at 704-849-7628.

• We need your child's name (please spell it for us), date of birth (including year of birth), gender, and home and/or cell numbers.
• Children must be age appropriate by August 31st for an age level list.
• TK Info:  Transitional Kindergarten is designed for children who turn 5 by August 31, 2012 and/or have completed a 4 year old preschool program.  TK is the gift of an additional year of preschool.
• You are welcome to leave a message if we are not available at the time of your call.

Wait lists are numbered in the order the calls are received. However, once classes are set, we will go to the next child who appears to be the best fit by birth date or gender for that specific class.  This is to ensure that all children are placed in the environment that provides the most opportunities for success.

WCP does not screen or test children.  We gratefully accept the children God places in our care.  However, WCP reserves the right to refer children to other programs if the need should occur.

Wait list names must be refreshed during the first week of September 1st, 2012 to remain active.  Please take a moment to read over the Wait List Policy for important information. Information on more local programs is available through Child Care Resources (704) 238-8800.
