Disciple Bible Study

Information for the Mind, Transformation of the Heart

Disciple studies will take you on a journey through the Bible. You will set out on a biblical adventure together, yet you will each be on your own journey of discovery and personal growth as you grow closer to God and deepen your faith in Jesus Christ. Disciple Bible Studies begin in September and end early May. New Disciple Bible Study classes are beginning this Fall! Below if the full list of Disciple classes being offered. Registration for classes beginning Fall 2017 in now open. To register for any of our Disciple Bible Study courses, please click here.

Fall 2017 Bible Study Schedule

Disciple I: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study

This 34-week study moves through the biblical story from Creation to the New Jerusalem. The principal Scripture for each session follows the chronological movement of the biblical study. Required before proceeding to other Disciple or Jesus in the Gospel studies.

Disciple II: Into the Word, Into the World

Genesis to Exodus and Luke to Acts are the focus of this 32 week study prepared for graduates of Disciple I. This study emphasizes the rhythm of coming to God and going for God, of being in the Word and in the world individually and corporately.

Disciple III: Remember Who You Are

Remember your roots, consider your past, and renew your vision for the future. This study confronts persistent questions like “What are my priorities?” and “How can I be a part of the obedient community?” Come and study with Paul and the Prophets. 32 week course.

Disciple IV: Under the Tree of Life

The word under in the title is meant to convey a welcoming invitation to shelter, security, and rest in God’s love. Come and rest in the words of John, The Writings and Revelation while we study the mystery and wonder these books have to offer. This is a 32-week course.

Jesus in the Gospels

This second generation Disciple study invites believers to look at Jesus in each of the four Gospels and ask the question, “Who is the Jesus that you see?” This study looks at the way each Gospel writer presents events and teachings and at the picture of Jesus that emerges in each of the Gospels.

Christian Believer

This Disciple study emphasizes the relationship of worship, belief and daily life. The beliefs of the Christian community, taught within the Christian community, equip the Christian community for living faithfully and for passing on the faith entrusted to it.
