Mother’s Morning Out

Our Mother’s Morning Out program is a program of care and education for preschoolers, age 12 months through almost 2 years old. This program is organized and operated as part of the total ministry of Weddington United Methodist Church and is a sister ministry to Weddington Christian Preschool (WCP) and Weddington Christian Academy (WCA). The tuition and fees support the salaries and the operating expenses of the program.

Our school year runs September through May and is based on August 31 birth dates.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe, caring environment for your children that will allow the child’s primary caregiver a much needed time out. It is our desire to provide a constructive and meaningful program with activities that will help the child grow emotionally, mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually.

Our Staff

Our staff has a deep concern for the total development of the child and the child’s family. Well trained and dedicated teachers, enthusiastic and cooperative parents, and the committed support of Weddington United Methodist Church are the necessary ingredients for an outstanding program.

About MMO

MMO provides outdoor play, music, and manipulatives to help the body grow. As the little ones play and interact with one another, they begin to make friends and grow socially. Our teachers will read Bible stories, sing songs, and lead prayers that begin their understanding of who God is. We use “Creative Curriculum” in our MMO Program, the same as WCP.

MMO also offers all of our students an enhancement program called “Jump, Jive & Play.” This program is an added value that will be included as a part of your monthly MMO tuition. “Jump, Jive & Play” specializes in fitness and music enrichment classes for toddlers and preschoolers.

  • In “Fitness”, we wil build motor skills, coordination, strength, balance and healthy habits for life.
  • In “Music”, we will explore using our bodies to make music as well as using a multitude of musical instruments.

Our desire at MMO is to prepare your child to leave our program ready and able to continue on in their preschool experience as a happy and confident child.

How do I know if my child is ready for MMO?

By the start of MMO, your child should be…..

  • Walking or showing signs of walking
  • Drinking from a Sippy Cup
  • Sitting for meals
  • Has given up their morning nap

These are just a few signs that they will thrive in an MMO program
