Nursery

For the first 2+ years of life, we focus on making a child’s and parent’s initial experience at church a positive and safe one!  We want children to learn of God’s love at the earliest opportunity.  We begin with lots of hugs and sharing of simple Bible stories.

Our nurseries are available at the following services:

  • 9:30 a.m.
  • 10:10 (our classes begin at 9:30 for this service. Please arrive no later than 9:40 a.m.)
  • 11:00 a.m.

Check In/Out of Nursery

You are required to take a security tag when signing your child into our nursery. Please bring the matching tag when picking our child up.  Remember to bring a diaper bag and bottle or sippy cup.  If you are needed during the service, your number will appear in the sanctuary on the wall.  Please return to your child’s room as soon as possible.

For more information about our nurseries, please pick up a current copy of our nursery brochure or call Emily Gray or Carolyn Nelson.

Room Assignments for 9:30 a.m., 10:10 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. services

  • Babies & Crawlers, Birth – 12 Months old - Room 101
  • Toddlers, 12-24 months old  -  Room 102
  • 2 year olds - Room 106

Our nurseries are a very special place for our littlest angels and we know how important it is for these children to make a connection with their caregivers. Therefore, we have paid caregivers in each of our nurseries as well as parent volunteers.   Our parent volunteers are a vital part of this ministry and we depend upon your support.  To become a parent volunteer, simply visit our “Volunteer” page to learn more.  All it takes is serving just once every 5-6 weeks for one hour!  It’s that simple.

Sickness/Illness Policy

We ask that you keep your child home if he or she has exhibited any of the following symptoms in the past 24 hours:

  • Fever greater to or equal to 100 degrees when taken orally (101 under arm or 99 rectally).
  • Moderate drainage (clear or discolored) from the mouth, nose, eyes or ears.
  • Ear Pain
  • Skin rashes as they are difficult to diagnose unless by a physician.
  • Severe abdominal pain, vomiting or diarrhea
  • A painful, red throat even if fever is not present.
  • A deep, hacking cough
  • Difficulty breathing or untreated wheezing.
  • Complaints of a stiff neck and headache with more than one of any of the above stated symptoms.
  • An unusual yellow coloring of the skin or eyes
  • Cuts or openings on the skin that are pus-filled or oozing.
  • Lice or nits
  • Any contagious disease (mumps, chicken pox, etc.)

Children should be excluded from childcare until their condition subsides, or there is documentation from the child’s doctor stating he/she is no longer contagious.

Remember, most of our church events are not mandatory, so please keep your child home if he/she is sick.  We have babies as young as newborns in our care, as well as children with RSV and asthma.  They can become very sick with just a little cold.  Let’s keep them safe!
