WUMC Resource Center
You can now view online all of the books, DVD’s, CD’s, Video Games and Periodicals that are available for check-out from the WUMCRC located in Room 212 in the Main Sanctuary Building.
We are gearing up for the big grand opening of the Resource Center in September. Drop by on a Sunday morning in July and check out our progress and check out a book, video game or movie. There are some great summer reads including books by Christian Fiction authors, Karen Kingsbury, Tracie Peterson, Lori Wick and Robert Whitlow. Have a long car ride ahead? The Resource Center also has a large selection of VeggieTale, Disney and Nick Jr. DVD's. Or, do your kids need to read books for school over the summer? There is a large variety of Easy Readers, picture and chapter books. The Teen section is growing and there are board books for the little ones so there is something for every age. The Resource Center is located in Room 212 in the Main Sanctuary building.
In order to reserve media online, write a review or check out media from the center, you must first have an account. You can request an account one of two ways.

- The WUMC Resource Center is accepting current and gently-used books, movies, video games and music for all ages. Not all donated books will end up on the shelves. Books and other media that are not used will be placed in the "Book Nook" for other members to enjoy. Please place donated items in the designated tote outside of Room 212. For more information on the kinds of things we're looking for, see our donation policy here: Book & Media Donation Policy.
- Be sure to shop the "Book Nook" located on the stage in Helms Hall. Books are purchased under the Honor System. Suggested prices are $2.00 for hardback books and $1.00 for paperback books. All proceeds go directly toward the purchase of new books for the Resource Center.
It is the mission of the Weddington UMC Resource Center to provide current and appropriate media resources and programs that minister to all ages and all groups of the WUMC congregation and it’s community, so that as a Christian body, we may all intentionally grow in faith.
