Weddington United Methodist Church

United Methodist Women

The women of Weddington Church invite you to join us in our women’s groups, Sunday School classes, Bible studies, and as volunteers in church ministries. We’re a great and growing church and would love for you to join us!

The United Methodist Women hosts casual events in an effort to build cohesiveness between all the women’s groups of the church and to reach out to ladies that are new to the church or are still looking for ways to get involved and connected.

2012 Women's Retreat: The Anchor Holds

"We have this HOPE as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure" Hebrews 6:19

Ladies, we invite you to join us at Litchfield Beach Resort in beautiful Pawley's Island, SC on October 19-21, 2012 for an amazing time of worship, exploring God's Word, and fellowship. An anchor is defined as something that keeps a ship from drifting; anything that holds something else secure; or anything that gives stability and security. The HOPE of Jesus is our anchor that keeps us from drifting through life. Jesus is the anchor that keeps us secure and stable know matter what circumstances come our way. Set sail with us as we learn what it means to become firm and secure in our HOPE, to allow Jesus to be our Anchor and the Holy Spirit to be our Wind, so that we are prepared to throw out the life preserver of HOPE!
