We LOVE chldren and they are most welcome on the tour but please keep in mind we will travel a lot of hallways and stairs.

Please enter at the main WUMC Sanctuary entrance by the fountain.  Please allow about 45 minutes for the tour. 

In order to respect the privacy and security of the children and families enrolled at WCP we do not offer tours when children are in the building. 

 Should you miss the scheduled tours, please know our facility is open every Sunday morning.  Please join us for worship at 8:15, 9:30, or 11:00 and explore Weddington United Methodist Church!

 

 

 

The Children's Medical Report / Health Form and the Credit Card Authorization Form are both available from this website.  Please see the 'Forms' list on our WCP Home page to print the forms.  We cannot receive the information electronically.  Please mail or fax to the WCP Office by August 15, 2010.  Fax:  704-847-6609.   If you are planning to deliver forms please take them to the Weddington United Methodist Church office located across Hwy 16, entrance off Hwy 84/Weddington Rd.                 Watch your mailboxes for the information filled WCP summer parent letter!   It should arrive by August 12^th – please call the office if you do not receive your copy.

                By August 25^th your child should receive a letter from his or her teacher – so exciting.  Again, please let us know if this does not arrive!  This letter serves as notification of who your child’s teacher will be for the 2010-2011 school year.  We take this partnership very seriously and have already been in prayer for the children, the teachers, and YOU.  We so appreciate your prayers, as well…   Thanks.

 WCP opened Wait Lists for the 2010-2011 school year for age levels that filled during our January registration.    Wait lists are still fairly short and you are invited to add your child's name by calling the preschool office at 704-849-7628. 

• We need your child's name (please spell it for us), date of birth (including year of birth), gender, and home and/or cell numbers. 
• Children must be age appropriate by August 31st for an age level list. 
• TK Info:  Children who have completed a 4 year old program, but who do not meet the 5 years old by 8/31 criteria, may be eligible for TK if parents choose give the gift of an additional year of preschool. 
•  You are welcome to leave a message if we are not available at the time of your call.
• As of July 1st we have just a few openings in the 5 year old (TK) program.

Wait lists are numbered in the order the calls are received. However, once classes are set, we will go to the next child who appears to be the best fit by birth date or gender for that specific class.  This is to ensure that all children are placed in the environment that provides the most opportunities for success.

WCP does not screen or test children.  We gratefully accept the children God places in our care.  However, WCP reserves the right to refer children to other programs if the need should occur. 

Wait list names must be refreshed during the first week of September 2010 to remain active.  Please take a moment to read over the Wait List Policy for important information.

Closings and Delays due to inclement weather will be posted here by 6:00 a.m.  Information will also be available on the WCP phone recording that can be reached by calling (704)849-7628 and on all major news stations and radio stations.  If Union County schools are closed WCP will also close.  Delays will be determined on a case by case basis.

Remember that Tuition is always due on the first day of the month. A late fee of $10.00 will be charged after the 5th of the month. Be sure to allow 2 weeks to set up a credit card payment.  Credit Card Authorization Forms are available from this website or from the WCP Office.  These forms expire every May and so must be re-newed each school year.

If it is necessary for your child to be absent from school we would appreciate a quick note describing your child's illness. This is strictly to help us be aware of the illnesses in our school. We can be better caregivers and provide a healthier environment with this information. Thanks for your help.
