Disciple studies will take you on a journey through the Bible. You will set out on a biblical adventure together, yet you will each be on your own journey of discovery and personal growth as you grow closer to God and deepen your faith in Jesus Christ.

Disciple Bible Study Classes

NEW! ONLINE Disciple I: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study

Disciple I is an amazing journey through the entire Bible, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. The study draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading of the participants and group discussion that aid participants in deeper Biblical understanding and spiritual growth. The group meets for 34 weeks and involves approximately 30 minutes of daily homework. If you are interested in joining an online group, please call or email Patsy Sorrell to express your interest. Date and time will be determined based upon interest.

Disciple I: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study

Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. beginning September 16

Location: Online

Leader: David Myers

Disciple I is an amazing journey through the entire Bible, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. The study draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading, and study of the participants and dynamic group discussions that aid participants in deeper Biblical understanding and transformational spiritual growth. You will benefit greatly from the leadership of Dave Myers, who is a passionate historian and Bible teacher. Disciple I meets for 34 weeks and involves approximately 30 minutes of daily homework. It’s an experience that will draw you closer to God and others as you journey together.

Disciple II: Into the Word, Into the World

Time: Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.

Location: Online

Leader: Heather Brown

Disciple II is a study of Genesis, Exodus, Luke, Acts, and the start of the Christian church. The study emphasizes the rhythm of coming to God and going for God; of being in God’s Word and being in the world individually and corporately. This in-depth Bible study shows how God made His presence known to His chosen people and how, in His perfect time, He made His presence known to the world. Participants will see that the events of the Bible are part of the history of the Middle-East and the world and learn alongside leader, Heather Brown, a gifted teacher and lover of Jesus and the Bible. Disciple II meets for 32 weeks and involves approximately 30 minutes of daily homework.

Disciple II: Into the Word, Into the World (Women’s Bible Study)

Time: Beginning in October, Day/Time TBA

Location: TBD

Leaders: Meg Flouhouse and Stephanie Lester

Disciple III: Remember Who You Are

Time: Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. beginning September 16

Location: Sanctuary Building – Room 20

Leader: Dick Davidson

Disciple III is a study that concentrates on the Old Testament prophets and the letters of Paul, and how they are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people “set apart.” This is a great opportunity if you are looking for an in-depth study of the Paul. Participants will benefit from seasoned leader and Pauline scholar, Dick Davidson. This study group meets for 32 weeks and involves approximately one hour of homework each week.
