Women’s Ministry

The women of Weddington Church invite you to join us as we grow in faith together through small groups, Bible studies, serving together, and special events. We value building authentic relationships, intentionally growing in faith, intergenerational connections, and much more.  We would love for you to join us!

Our Vision

We believe God is calling us to use our passion for Jesus to engage and grow women in authentic, active, and deepening relationships with Christ and one another.

Our Values

Active Discipleship We believe that life is best lived as we follow Jesus and seek to intentionally grow deeper in faith through worship, prayer, Bible study, and serving others. Cultivating a relationship with God strengthens and enables us to live transformed lives and be who God is calling us to be. Discipleship is active and calls for intentionality because it doesn’t happen unless we make a commitment.

Authentic Community We want to be a welcoming community where women are accepted, encouraged, and inspired; a place where women of all ages and stages of faith have a place and we graciously meet one another where we are in our life and faith journey. We also believe in challenging one another to grow, to be open to God’s truth and transformation, and to seek God’s guidance and wisdom.

Meaningful Relationships Supportive relationships are important and help us grow, get involved, and gain an understanding of our true identity through a relationship with Christ. We strive to be a place where women experience genuine and honest relationships, questions are encouraged, being real is refreshing, and imperfection is embraced.

Encouraging Engagement Through authentic relationships women discover ways to grow deeper in faith and are encouraged to become involved in meaningful ministry. All women have God-given gifts to share which enable them to make a difference in the body of Christ, in their homes, and in their communities. We are called to help women discover their gifts and support them as they develop and share their gifts with others.

Intentional Invitation We understand the power of an invitation and the importance of creating a culture that enables God’s Spirit to move and work through our outreach and relationships with others. As we invite the women in our lives to join us, we also invite the Holy Spirit to move among us.
