Weddington Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Children & Youth Ministry Associate to join the Ark Children’s Ministry team at our Monroe campus. This position provides an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children, youth, and their families by leading engaging discipleship programs and creating a nurturing environment for children and youth to develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. With the support of a dedicated team, you will empower volunteers, collaborate with parents, and contribute to the growth and spiritual well-being of our church community. This is accomplished by excellent communication, leadership, and personal work ethic that fosters a culture of a positive ministry experience.

The position requires the ability to work independently and with staff and vendors, manage multiple tasks effectively and in a timely manner, and great communication with staff, volunteers, and vendors. The Part-Time Children & Youth Ministry Associate is an essential role within Weddington Methodist Church, ensuring that the Children’s Ministry thrives and meets the needs of the congregation. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent technological, organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate pastoral care, building meaningful relationships with children, youth, and their families.
  • Equip and empower parents with the tools and resources to lead their families spiritually.
  • Collaborate with the children’s minister to identify and address the needs of children, youth and their families, making a tangible difference in their lives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with experience in children’s ministry/youth ministry in a church setting, or possess training in Christian Education, Early Childhood Education, or Child Development. Current students in Christian Education classes are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 3 years proven ministry experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Spanish language skills a plus

Schedule:
This is a part-time position with the expectation of set campus/facility hours on Sunday afternoons and weekday afternoons along with a flexible schedule for event support with some additional night work as needed.

Nursery/Childcare Coordinator

Position Summary
Weddington Methodist Church is seeking an energetic Nursery/Childcare Coordinator to join the Ark Children’s Ministry team. The Nursery/Childcare Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing weekday and evening childcare employees and volunteers. This position reports to the Children’s Pastor and is located at our church’s main campus in Weddington, North Carolina.

We are a busy ministry, and availability on Sunday and Wednesday mornings is a must. This position is a meaningful opportunity to help grow our Children’s Ministry program and lead children to know God’s word, grow in faith, and show God’s love to others.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and hire individuals for nursery/childcare roles, adhering to church screening procedures for both regular and special events.
  • Ensure an adequate number of caregivers are scheduled for worship services and church events.
  • Supervise caregivers, providing guidance and support for nursery and childcare events.
  • Identify and enlist substitute caregivers as needed to maintain staffing levels.
  • Oversee compliance with all nursery and childcare policies and procedures, as outlined in the caregiver handbook.
  • Maintain accurate records of childcare needs and caregiver schedules monthly.
  • Coordinate CPR and First Aid certification for all caregivers, organizing annual training sessions.
  • Organize a yearly kick-off training event to prepare caregivers for their roles.
  • Serve as the primary contact for small groups and families utilizing nursery care, facilitating effective communication.
  • Maintain weekly communication with the Children’s Pastor, providing updates and receiving guidance.
  • Regularly review and update nursery and childcare policies and procedures to align with current childcare industry trends and standards.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required with further education in early childhood education or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of childcare experience, with leadership roles highly valued.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Reliable with a passion for working with children and families.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Children’s Ministry experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Clear vision and hearing.
  • Ability to work in a high-energy and potentially noisy environment.

Noah's Nursery Caregiver

Noah’s Nursery is looking for energetic and enthusiastic workers to join our team! Our nursery has 3 classrooms: infants, toddlers, and 2-year-olds. Weddington Christian Academty Part-Time Middle School Math Teacher

Position Summary: Weddington Christian Academy is seeking a Part-Time Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian education, work well within a collaborative team, and have a passion for helping middle school students develop confidence and proficiency in mathematics.This position includes teaching one section each of 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Math utilizing the i-Ready Classroom Mathematics curriculum. Weddington Christian Preschool Teachers & Assistants

Weddington Christian Preschool is seeking preschool teachers and assistants to join their early childhood team for the 2026-2027 school year. A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required for these teaching positions.  WCP is a part-day preschool serving children ages 12 months-5 years old. All WCP staff positions are ministry positions reflecting our faith and service on behalf of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 Responsibilities: 
  • Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment where children feel secure and ready to explore.
  • Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons using the Creative Curriculum and Learning Without Tears Curriculum that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Teach weekly Bible stories using the Bible. 
  • Foster basic academic skills like letters, numbers, colors, and shapes through fun, interactive activities.
  • Model and teach social skills—sharing, cooperation, empathy, and following rules.
  • Monitor each child’s progress and adapt teaching strategies to individual needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians, sharing updates and collaborating on developmental goals through newsletters, calendars and a yearly parent conference. 

Required Qualifications: 
  • Early Childhood, Elementary Education or a related bachelor’s degree
