In a world filled with opinions, distractions, and constant noise, whose voice rises above the rest?


In Matthew 17, Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James, and John. His face shines like the sun. Moses and Elijah appear. And then God the Father speaks from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. With Him I am well pleased.” But this time, God adds something new — “Listen to Him.” Above every other voice. Above every other opinion. Above every competing agenda.


Pastor Terry walks us through this powerful mountaintop moment as Jesus turns toward Jerusalem and the cross. As we enter the season of Lent, this message challenges us to examine not just whether we believe in Jesus, but whether we are truly listening — personally and as a church. In a culture that rewards quick opinions and constant reaction, discipleship begins by slowing down long enough to hear Him.


There will always be other voices calling for your attention. The invitation of this passage is simple, but life-changing: Speak, Lord. Your servant is listening.
