We Don't Live Near God – We Get to Live With God – Part IV

The Rev. Dr. Terry Moore has traveled to Israel many times. Early in his ministry, he noticed on one of these trips that many homes appeared unfinished. Curious, he joked with the guide about it. He then explained that, “The house isn’t finished because the family is always growing.”


What an incredible visual. Our eternal family is like this too—always growing, with additional rooms added on.


In John 14:1–4 Jesus says, "do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."


As believers, when we go to heaven – we don’t live near God – we get to live with God! Why? Because we are His kids.
