Love God with All Your Strength

Mar 22, 2026    The Rev. Dr. Terry Moore

What does it really mean to love God with all your strength?

When Jesus declares the greatest commandment in Mark 12, He calls us to more than belief or intention. He calls us to love God with everything we’ve got — our heart, soul, mind, and strength. But loving God with our strength means something deeper than physical effort. It means offering our abilities, our energy, our gifts, and our lives fully to Him.

In this final message of the Great Commandment series, Pastor Terry reminds us that every person has been given something by God — a gift, a talent, a calling — and we are invited to use it for His glory. From the early teaching of the Shema to the words of Paul, Scripture consistently points us toward a life that is not partial, but fully devoted.

God is not calling us to settle for “good enough.” He calls us to be all in.

As we prepare to walk into Holy Week, we remember that Jesus first gave everything for us. Loving God with all our strength is not about earning His love — it is our response to it.
